Here is a thread of several others having the same issue, mainly with Asus products it seems. When the SD card is not connected the error 45 code is present. Hi guys, tried all these solution, even downloading the “original” driver from realtek site and cheking policies under regedit, but i can’t recognize my 12 SD card Tags for this Thread creatorsggvysd card. You are quite right.
Driver is not intended for this platform. It shows as unknown device and when Windows attempts to install the driver through device manager, it correctly identifies the Genesys Driver but fails on install by saying it is not meant for my device.
Does anybody have ideas? Did you uninstall the old drivers? Also, disconnect from the net and reboot before you install the new driver.

SD Card Reader issue GJZ, card does not appear in file explorer – solved?
Use Device Manager to update the driver. My issue was that although Genesys driver under USB controller tree was installed from the official download page for my GJT, I got a “bad device” under the “disk drives” tree in device manager.

I think I got a solution On my GJT this does not work either and I tried those fix drivers and still nothing. Uninstalled and re-installed the card reader software: I was getting the same error. That is a working solution – it solved my problem so thanks again: When the SD card is not connected the error 45 asuss is present.
